Mackays Group are seeking a Contract Coordinator to support our farming operations through effective contractor engagement and project coordination. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on autonomy, is confident in decision-making, and has an interest for aligning people and projects to deliver results on time and within budget.

About the Role:
n
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the entire contractor lifecycle — from sourcing and onboarding to performance monitoring and compliance. You'll liaise with farm management to define project needs and ensure contractors are aligned with operational goals, timelines, and safety standards.

- Source, engage, and coordinate contractors for a range of farm projects
n
- Manage contractor agreements, documentation, and compliance
n
- Obtain and assess project quotes to ensure value and efficiency
n
- Define scopes of work with senior management
n
- Lead contractor negotiations and ensure favourable terms
n
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to timelines and WHS standards
n
- Maintain a reliable network of contractors and up-to-date knowledge of their capabilities
n
- Act as the primary contact between internal teams and external contractors
n

About You:

- Self-motivated and highly organised
n
- Strong ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
n
- Confident in making sound decisions
n
- Contractor management, compliance, and WHS knowledge
n
- A transparent communicator who can build strong working relationships
n
- Experience in agriculture, construction, or rural operations
n
- Familiarity with WHS legislation and rural compliance practices
