The Family Law Court Support Officer provides high-level administrative assistance to the Family Law Court Liaison Officers, the Inspector and DPFEM members, supporting the efficient and effective operation of the business unit.

About the role
The Family Law Court Support Officer provides high-level administrative assistance to the Family Law Court Liaison Officers, the Inspector and DPFEM members, including high-level executive, administrative, and secretarial duties encompassing the preparation, coordination and management of confidentialdocumentation and managing competing priorities. They will support the efficient and effective operation of the business unit as a member of theadministrative team.
You will
Provide direct support to Family Law Court Liaison Officers and the Safe Families Coordination Unit, including:
- Management of electronic diaries,
- Organisation and scheduling of meetings/appointments,
- Effective management and actioning of emails
- Coordinate travel arrangements for personnel, including flights, accommodation, and hire vehicles.
Prepare documentation for a variety of audiences and purposes, adhering to organisational
guidelines and processes. This includes researching and preparing responses to routine
correspondence, briefs, reports, minutes and the development and maintenance of registers
and databases.
Manage the timely flow of correspondence and handle internal and external enquiries into
the office. Provide reception support as required. Provide advice and guidance to staff to
ensure secretarial and administrative systems and processes are correctly applied.
Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight
Period of appointment
This role will be a fixed term appointment until 30/09/2028.
The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this
position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or
transfer.
Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are
not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for
appointment.
Such offences would include, but are not limited to:
- arson and fire setting
- dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud)
- deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception)
- violent crimes and crimes against the person
- malicious damage and destruction to property
- trafficking of narcotic substance
- Knowledge and experience consistent with qualifications recognised at Certificate 3 and 4 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Content Manager and Technology One applications would be advantageous
