About The Role
The Strategic Communications Lead oversees the delivery of communications, campaigns and services to assist the Department for Education, and the state government to meet strategic objectives.
This position provides strategic communications advice and support, working autonomously and collaboratively with subject matter experts and executives. Day-to-day, the role develops and delivers strategic communications plans, marketing campaigns, content and materials for a range of internal and external channels.
The Strategic Communications Lead works within a broader team that provides communications, media and online services for the department. The incumbent will demonstrate a high level of political nous, flexibility and resilience, responding to diverse audiences and constantly changing priorities.
Qualifications
Essential: NIL
Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing,
public relations or related discipline and/or relevant experience in these areas.
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
- ASO7 $116,089 - $125,490 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
