We are seeking an experienced Accountant (General) to provide accounting, taxation and financial reporting services to a diverse range of clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional accounting services and assisting clients with their taxation and financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities -

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and management reports.
n
- Preparing and lodging income tax returns and activity statements.
n
- Preparing financial reports, reconciliations and other accounting documentation.
n
- Preparing and reviewing tax calculations and supporting schedules.
n
- Maintaining and reviewing accounting records and ledgers.
n
- Providing accounting and taxation advice to clients.
n
- Managing client accounts and ensuring work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
n
- Using accounting and taxation software to prepare financial reports and tax documentation.
n
- Assisting with trust, company and individual taxation matters.
n
- Preparing consolidated reports and other financial information as required.
n
- Maintaining compliance with Australian taxation and accounting requirements.
n
- Liaising with clients and assisting them with accounting and taxation queries.
n
- Performing other accounting duties relevant to the position.

Skills and Experience Required
n

- Relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field.
n
- Minimum 1 year of relevant skilled accounting experience.
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
n
- Experience preparing financial statements and taxation returns.
n
- Experience with accounting and taxation software.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a professional accounting team.
