Retail Butcher And 1 Year Apprentice Butcher In Butcher Shop

We are a major butcher shop in Port Macquarie with over 65 years of knowledge in Retail Butchering. We have an opening for a Junior or Senior apprentice. Working in Settlement City. Hours of work will be negotiable.

Preference will be given to experienced butchers, though junior apprentice applications will also be considered.

Qualifications & experience

n

The person we are seeking must be willing to work within a team workplace, be honest, punctual, clean and eager to learn the Retail Meat Trade.

n

The Butcher - Must be Fully Experienced in all aspects of retail butchery.

n

Certificate III qualification plus substantial experience required for the experienced butcher position.

n

Minimum of 5+ years retail butchery experience required for the experienced butcher role.

n

A keen interest in developing a career within the trade

n

An enthusiasm for retailing and specifically butchery

n





Know the products they sell and the service they offer

n

Foster customer loyalty through the development of an attentive business relationship. Get to know your customers

n

Always keep promises and honour our commitments

n

The ability to work on own initiative

n

Australian work rights are required for this position

Tasks & responsibilities

n

We are also seeking a keen person to take up the role of a 1 year apprentice.

n

This offer is for current apprentices from years 1. Offering apprentice pay rates depending on your current attained level.

n

Apprentice candidates must be in their 1st or 2nd year of training

n

General shop work, Cutting Trays, Customer Service Value Adding and Preparing Lamb, Beef, Pork Occasional Back Work.

n

All aspects of retail butchery 5 Days per week (uniforms provided, over award, wages plus overtime)
