Organic Social | Meta Ads | South East Queensland | Full Time

Active Truth is looking for a creative, fast-moving Video Content Creator & Editor to help us produce engaging video content for our organic social channels and paid performance marketing.

This is not a traditional, highly polished production role. We need someone who understands how to create authentic, attention-grabbing content that feels native to Instagram, TikTok and Meta advertising.

You’ll work closely with Active Truth founders Nadia Tucker and Stevie Angel, filming regular founder‑led content and turning it into videos designed to build community, tell our story and drive sales.

THE ROLE

This is primarily a remote editing role. However, you must be based in South East Queensland and available for a few hours of in-person filming with Nadia in Brisbane each week, as well as occasional photoshoots and campaign days.

- Film regular founder‑led content with Nadia/Stevie in Brisbane
- Edit short‑form videos for Instagram and other organic social channels
- Create performance‑focused video ads for Meta
- Turn raw footage into multiple hooks, formats, lengths and creative variations
- Add captions, text overlays, music, graphics and transitions where appropriate
- Find strong hooks and moments within longer pieces of footage
- Edit content featuring products, customers, founders, behind‑the‑scenes moments and brand stories
- Adapt organic content into paid advertising creative
- Collaborate with our existing Content Creator and Editor
- Work with the wider marketing team to support launches, promotions and campaigns
- Organise footage and maintain an efficient content library
- Use performance results and feedback to improve future creative

ABOUT YOU

You understand that effective social content doesn’t always need to look highly produced.



It needs a strong hook, a clear message, positive pacing and a reason for someone to keep watching.

You’re comfortable giving direction during filming, but you can also capture natural moments without making the person on camera feel overly scripted.

You will ideally have:

- Experience filming and editing short‑form social video
- A strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok and Meta advertising
- Experience creating direct‑response or performance marketing creative
- Excellent editing skills and a strong sense of pacing
- The ability to identify strong hooks and turn one filming session into multiple pieces of content
- An understanding of platform trends without relying on trends for every idea
- Strong attention to detail, including captions and on‑screen text
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating closely with another creator
- Your own filming and editing equipment
- Availability to film in person in Brisbane each week

It would be a bonus, but is not essential, if you are comfortable appearing in content yourself.

Experience working with an e-commerce, fashion, activewear or swimwear brand would also be highly regarded.
