We have an exciting opportunity for anexperienced Junior Sous Chefto join our Conference & Events kitchen and lead our banqueting team.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader who thrives in a rapid-paced, high-volume environment and has experience working at a luxury banqueting level. You will work closely with the Executive Chef and senior kitchen leadership team to maintain exceptional food standards, support team development, and contribute to a profitable and high-performing kitchen.

Hours: 40 hours per week (80 hours per fortnight)
n
Salary: $92,900 per annum + superannuation (paid in addition)
n
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have at least 2 years' experience working at Junior Sous Chef level in a large conference or events kitchen and be currently living in the local area. Candidates with extensive experience in large-volume catering may also be considered.

Requirement
n
n
- Previous experience working at a Junior Sous Chef level within a large-scale catering or hospitality operation.
n
- Previous banqueting experience is required.
n
- Full availability, including weekends and public holidays
n
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications, with a minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
n
- Understanding of the financial management of food operations including, budget management, wage costforecasting, staff rostering, sales analysis and reporting.
n
- Good computer skills, including a proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
n
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
n
- A hands-on approach with a genuine passion forfood quality, presentation, and consistency.
n
- Ability to adapt to busy periods and work with a strongsense of urgency.
n
- A willingness to learn new techniques and continuously develop culinary skills.
n
- Ability to follow recipes accurately andplan and manage time effectively.Demonstrated pride in your work and commitment to maintaining high standards.
n
- Comprehensive knowledge offood safety standards and procedures.
n
