The role
We help people with disability become more independent, in their own homes and the community.
- Active support: develop personal interests, provide personal care, transportation and coach independent living skills
- Health support: administer and document medication and follow health support plans
- Positive behaviour support: manage behaviour triggers and escalation
- Safeguarding: ensure safety of you and the participant, documentation and reports
About you
- Demonstrated motivation to work with people with disability
- Sleepovers are a must for this role
- Certificate IV Disability or related field
- Experience in managing complex clients
- Experience in reporting and preparing detailed handover
- Experience with Intellectual and physical disability and personal care & hygiene
- Manual handling experience with complex care
- Assist with medication and domestic duties
- Available to fulfill a rotating roster including weekends and overnights
- NDIS Worker Check
- National Police Check
- Australian Driver's license
- First aid certificate
