The successful candidate will be responsible for co‐ordinating the administrative, physical and psychological care of patients attending clinics for assessment.

n

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare assistant to join our team. This post will play a crucial role in ensuring quality and safe care is maintained, whilst moving forward to meet the evolving needs of the service and population we serve.

n

The main duties of the role are to ensure that the patient receivesa high standard of care in the department.

n

You will need:

- Excellent communication skills
n
- Good practical skills and organisational ability
n
- An understanding of the pivotal role Pre Assessment has in the inpatient pathway
n
- Valuable IT skills
n
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
n

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Undertake assessment of identified patients through the triaging process ensuring fitness to proceed to surgery.
n
- Responsible for taking and recording basic observations on EPIC.
n
- To provide assistance to medical and nursing staff as and when required.
n
- To take an active part in Pre Assessment meetings and discussions.
n
- Phlebotomy.
n
