Projects & Operations Manager

Public Sector People are partnering with an established purpose-led organisation to appoint a Projects & Operations Manager to strengthen people leadership, project delivery and operational processes.

This is a broad, hands‑on leadership role requiring someone who can bring calm, structure and accountability to a complex service environment while supporting positive outcomes for the communities the organisation serves.

The Organisation

Our client is a large, establish Aboriginal Foundation delivering programs, services and financial support to communities across Western Australia.

Working with community members, partner organisations and external service providers, the organisation is focused on delivering accessible, equitable and sustainable outcomes.

The organisation is entering an important period of operational development, creating an opportunity for an experienced leader to strengthen its people, processes and service delivery.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Projects & Operations Manager will lead the team, projects and operational processes supporting the organisation's programs and services.

While project delivery forms part of the position,



this is not a traditional Project Manager role. The priority is to appoint an experienced operational people leader who can:

- Bring the team together and establish clear expectations and accountability
- Improve communication, coordination and day‑to‑day service delivery
- Review and streamline operational processes, workflows and controls
- Act as a calm and confident escalation point for complex matters
- Identify the causes of recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions
- Lead projects from planning and implementation through to evaluationSupport the implementation and improvement of operational systems
- Manage contracts, partnerships and relationships with external providers
- Build trusted relationships with community members and partner organisations
- Develop effective reporting for the CEO, Executive and Board

About You

You will be a calm, considered and confident operational leader who can bring structure and accountability to a complex service workplace. You will be comfortable resolving immediate challenges while also addressing their underlying causes and building more effective ways of working.
