About the role
n

As a Registered Nurse, you will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia's supply of blood products.
n
A day in the centre could see you:
n
n
- Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate
n
- Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process
n
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
n
- Set up machines and collections equipment
n
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets
n
- Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance
n
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation
n
n
Please note this role requires occasional travel to Taree Donor Centre, with approximately one shift every six weeks to be worked at this location.
n
Our paid and flexible self-paced training program has a balance between on-the-job practice and online class schedules to ensure that you are well supported. Besides having a real passion to deliver an exceptional donor experience, you'll need to be able to:
n
n
- Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs
n
- Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products
n
- Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration
n
- Be flexible to work diverse shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts
n
- Have your own vehicle and driver's licence.
