About the Role
n
IT Alliance Australia is seeking an experienced Part-Time Finance Manager / Financial Controller to provide financial oversight, management reporting and strong financial controls across our business.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced finance professional who can take ownership of month-end close, reconciliations, management accounts, cash flow and financial controls, while helping us improve the overall structure and maturity of our finance function.
n
Our payroll and day-to-day transactional activities are supported by existing team members. This role will independently review and reconcile these activities and ensure management has accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage the month-end close and prepare/review P&L;, Balance Sheet and cash-flow reporting.
n
- Perform and review general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
n
- Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable and monitor outstanding debtors/creditors.
n
- Reconcile consultant/contractor timesheets against client invoicing and payroll/contractor payments.
n
- Identify missing timesheets, unbilled revenue, billing discrepancies and potential margin leakage.
n
- Reconcile payroll, wages, PAYG, superannuation and STP against payroll reports, bank payments and the general ledger.
n
- Review and reconcile GST/BAS, ATO accounts and payroll tax lodgements and liabilities.
n
- Monitor statutory payment and lodgement obligations and work with our payroll team and external accountant as required.
n
- Prepare monthly management reporting covering revenue, expenses, profitability,
gross margins, cash flow and working capital.
n
- Analyse profitability and margins by client, consultant/contractor and engagement.
n
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning.
n
- Review existing finance processes and implement practical financial controls, reconciliations and process improvements.
n
- Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/advisers as required.

About You
n
We are looking for someone who has:
n
n
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Management Accountant or Senior Accountant.
n
- CA/CPA qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
n
- Strong hands-on month-end and financial reconciliation experience.
n
- Good understanding of Australian payroll, superannuation, PAYG, GST/BAS and payroll tax.
n
- Strong Excel and accounting-system skills.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide meaningful financial insights to management.
n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function for the agreed days.
n
n
Experience within recruitment, labour hire, ICT contracting, consulting or professional services would be highly regarded.
n
