We are looking for the right people to join our Team of experienced gold and precious metal buyers. You will find our stores in major shopping centres across Australia, we provide an opportunity for customers to bring their unwanted jewellery to a safe, secure and central location where they can be tested and exchanged for cash on the spot.
We have opportunities for an immediate start across our stores in Adelaide.

About the role
We're seeking well-presented & driven individuals with excellent communication, a positive outlook and sales or customer service experience preferred. The role has a strong marketing focus and so experience in marketing or promotional work will be highly regarded but not essential. Applicants must be available to work a flexible 7-day roster. Flexible hours from 15 to 37.5 hours a week available. Full on-the-job training provided.
We have minimum age requirements (18 years), but no maximum and we encourage those more mature members of the workforce to apply. We are unable to employ people with criminal histories, and a police clearance will be required for all successful applicants.
Job Types: Part-time, Commission, Casual
Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
What is this role about?
We are looking to hire a casual Counter Associate to work at our Myer Canberra counter.
The successful candidate will be available to work weekends, some evenings (Thurs and/or Fri is essential) and public holidays, approximately 10-15 hours per week, with extra hours available during peak periods. To be successful in this role, you must be available to work at least 3 days per week as a minimum.
What you'd be doing in this role
- Greet all customers who enter the store with enthusiasm and professionalism reflecting DECIEM’s vision through excellent service
- Determine the customer’s needs and suggest relevant products by listening to the customer and sharing the product knowledge acquired during brand training
- Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
- Adhere to the DECIEM experience and deliver unparalleled customer service. Educate customers about the world of Beauty and Skin Care, DECIEM brands and products
- Manage customer feedback and queries
- Operate POS and complete transactions accurately and efficiently
- Participate in inventory control and counts to ensure product stock is up to date
- Contribute to a positive, fun, and professional team environment
- Stay up to date with product knowledge, company information, launches and campaigns
- Perform operational duties such as cash handling, restocking, replenishing products
Skills and qualifications needed to get the job done
- Love of beauty products and a passion for skincare
- Comfortable in engaging customers and applying products with the customer while providing consultations
- Ability to multi-task, while providing professional and outstanding customer service
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
