About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Wall and Floor Tiler to join our growing renovations team. This is a full-time position working on high-quality residential renovation projects across Brisbane, including bathrooms, laundries, kitchens.

The successful applicant will be a reliable tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship, works efficiently, and can deliver high-quality finishes while maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members.

To be a successful candidate, you will be competent in the following tasks:

n

Duties & Responsibilities

n

n
- Floor and wall tiling for complete bathroom, laundry, and kitchen renovations.
n
- Installation of a broad range of tiles and natural stone products including porcelain, ceramic, marble, mosaics, and feature tiles.
n
- Surface preparation including waterproofing inspections, screeding, levelling, and substrate preparation.
n
- Measuring, setting out, cutting, and laying tiles to a high standard.
n
- Mixing and applying adhesives, grouts, and sealants.
n
- Grouting, finishing, silicone application, and tile repairs as required.
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised worksite.
n
- Working independently and as part of a team.
n
- Coordinating effectively with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to ensure projects run smoothly and on schedule.

- Ensuring all work complies with relevant industry standards and workplace safety requirements.
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (or equivalent trade qualification).
n
- Current Construction White Card.
n
- Current Driver's Licence.
n
- Own tiling tools, PPE, and a utility vehicle or suitable vehicle capable of transporting materials when required.
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in residential wall and floor tiling preferred.
n
- Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
n
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and professional.
n
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with the HMD Building team.
n
- Excellent presentation and customer service skills.
n
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
n
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically on site.
n
- Patience and willingness to assist, mentor, and work alongside apprentices when required.
n
- Strong commitment to quality workmanship and client satisfaction.
n
- Physical capability to perform manual handling and trade-related tasks.
n
- Sound mathematical and measuring skills.
n
- Experience working within renovation environments highly regarded.
n
- Knowledge of Australian tiling standards and best practices preferred.
n

Full-time position including superannuation, annual leave and personal leave.
