About the Role
n
The position will primarily be based at our front desk, with responsibilities including:
n
n
- Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and friendly manner
n
- Answering and managing phone calls and patient enquiries
n
- Managing appointments, bookings and doctor diaries
n
- Managing general billing, including private patients, Medicare, private health and third-party billing
n
- Liaising with patients, doctors, specialists, insurers and external medical providers
n
- Assisting doctors with the preparation and coordination of medical reports, letters and other clinical correspondence
n
- Compiling medical records and documentation in response to medical records requests
n
- Ensuring reports, records and documentation are completed accurately and within required timeframes
n
- General reception and office administration
n
- Supporting the wider clinic team as required
n
n
About You
n
We are ideally looking for someone with previous medical reception or medical administration experience who can confidently step into the role and work independently.
n
You will have:
n
n
- Previous experience in a medical reception or medical administration role
n
- Experience with medical billing, including Medicare and third-party billing
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Confidence communicating with patients and medical professionals
n
- Good organisational and time-management skills
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy workplace
n
- A professional, friendly and approachable manner
n
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
n
- Experience with medical reports, correspondence and medical records requests will be highly regarded
n
n
Experience working within a specialist medical practice, rehabilitation, pain management or similar setting will be advantageous.

Hours
n
This is a casual position, with regular availability required on:
n
n
- Monday
n
- Wednesday
n
- Additional cover as required, including leave and staff absences
n
n
There may be opportunities for additional hours as the needs of the clinic grow.
