MRGRENDERING PTY LTD is seeking a motivated and reliable Plasterer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to grow and develop your skills within a supportive team environment.

The successful applicant will report to the site supervisor daily,

n

Duties/Tasks are

n

n
- Assessing partitions to determine plaster layout
n
- Measuring, clearly marking and cutting materials to size
n
- Making incisions to access window openings, installing installation, applying adhesive to partitions
n
- Lifting, carrying and positioning plasterboard and fastening to walls, battens or ceilings using nails or screws and other apparatus where needed
n
- Potentially fitting and installing mouldings
n
- Ensuring all joins and screw are closed using a sealing mixture
n
- Sand /Smoothen surfaces/Planes using sandpaper or power sanders
n
- Hand tools such as Stanley knives, hammers, tape measures, levels, hand trowels, sanding blocks, hand saws and screw drivers are used (being familiar with the above would be advantageous)
n
- Ensure fireproofing materials are correctly bonded with plaster and other materials where necessary
n
- determining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriers
n
- measuring, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings and battens
n




- preparing corner beads and securing them in position
n
- fixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings
n
- covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, and smoothing them using wet brushes and sandpaper
n
- mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness
n
- plumbing and straightening corners, angles and wall and ceiling surfaces
n
- creating decorative textures in finishing coats
n
- applying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials.
n
- Installing, testing and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts.
n
- EIGHT MILE PLAINS QLD 4113 (Required) Relocate before starting work (Required)

To be considered for this position the successful applicant will need to have the following qualifications or skills:

n

AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field,

n

And

n

A minimum of 1 year experience in the field. Three years' work experience will substitute for the formal qualification.

n

Salary: $85,000.00 per year plus superannuation
