Ballarat Grammar is one of regional Australia’s leadingco-educational schools with a proudhistorydating back to 1877 and a flourishing community of over 1,900 students from 6 months to Year 12.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join Ballarat Grammar as a Head of Boarding House, responsible for creating a safe, supportive and vibrant home-away-from-home for boarding students. This key leadership role oversees the day-to-day operations of the House, provides exceptional pastoral care, and leads a dedicated team of boarding staff. Working closely with students, families and colleagues, you will foster a positive boarding culture that supports wellbeing, personal growth and student success.

The Boarding Community at Ballarat Grammar is comprised of five Boarding Houses and over 250 boarding students ranging from Years 7 – 12. Each House has a residential Head of House and Assistant Head of House. There are also other non-residential support staff engaged to assist students.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

- Experience working with young people, with a focus on supporting their wellbeing.
- Extensive experience working within a School Boarding House setting.
- Ability to navigate and apply sound reasoning to complex and diverse issues.
- Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, including ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
- A proven ability to work effectively,



constructively and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to display compassion, patience and flexibility.
- First round interviews may commence prior to the position closing date.
