Job Description
DVP Settlements, Corporate Actions & Nominee Officer
n
We are hiring: a dynamic and cutting-edge Australian financial services firm is looking for a Settlements Officer with at least 12 months' experience in Equity Operations, ideally with a strong settlements and corporate actions focus.
n
The role
n
You'll sit at the centre of settlements and corporate actions processing — liaising between financial advisers and our third-party clearing and settlements agent to ensure timely settlement of all client trading activity, monitoring market-driven corporate actions, and maintaining Nominee reconciliations. A strong understanding of the ASX clearing, settlements and custody cycle is essential.

Core responsibilities:

- Monitor DVP settlement obligations and upscale unmatched DVP trades to relevant stakeholders
n
- Identify and adjust client accounts impacted by corporate actions
n
- Facilitate ad-hoc settlement requests
n
- Monitor daily control reporting to identify outstanding cash/stock obligations on client accounts
n
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures; assist in maintaining team procedures
n
- Adhere to internal and market-wide policies, rules and regulations
n
- Cross-train across other roles within the team
n
- Support broader business initiatives, including project and data analysis work
n
n
What you'll bring

- In-depth understanding of the clearing, settlements and custody cycle
n
- Knowledge of CHESS and ASX business rules
n
- In-depth understanding of ASX corporate actions processes
n
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
n
- Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines
n
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
