Job Description

We are looking for a curious and motivated Junior Software Engineer with an interest in AI, data analytics and automation to help develop practical business solutions that improve reporting, decision-making and operational efficiency.

Embedded with the Software Engineering team, this is a hands-on role focused on AI workflows, data analysis, automation and business intelligence. It is not a social media or content-writing role.

What you'll do

n

n
- Develop and improve AI prompts and workflows.
n
- Transform Excel, CSV and other business data into useful reports, dashboards and summaries.
n
- Help automate repetitive business and compliance processes.
n
- Build AI tools that help managers understand business performances.
n
- Assist in the development of AI agents that monitor areas such as:n n
- Safety and Compliance
n
- Operations
n
- Finance
n
- Customer Experience
n
- Driver Performance
n

n
- Help identify data quality issues and problems within reporting systems.
n
- Use AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to assist with SQL, Power BI, DAX, Python and documentation.
n
- Test AI outputs to ensure they are accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.
n
- Document processes so they can be easily used by other staff.
n
- Work closely with Compliance and business teams.
n
- Contribute to projects involving:n

n
- Vehicle maintenance forecasting and asset optimisation analytics
n
- AI-powered executive reporting
n
- AI-assisted decision support
n
- Business process automation
n

n

n

What we're looking for

n

Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:

n

n
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience; or
n
- Master's student in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering,



or a related discipline.
n

n

In addition, you should have:

n

n
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Excellent attention to detail.
n
- A genuine interest in AI, automation and data.
n
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
n
- Positive documentation and communication skills.
n

n

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

n

n
- Python
n
- SQL
n
- Power BI and DAX
n
- Microsoft Fabric
n
- PySpark
n
- Git and version control
n
- REST APIs
n

n

You don't need experience with all these technologies. We are looking for someone who is curious, analytical and willing to learn.

Your Initial Projects

n

We will initially focus on projects that can deliver quick business value, including:

- AI-powered executive Q&A;
n
- Automated reporting and commentary
n

n

These projects may later expand into predictive analytics, AI agents and more advanced automation solutions.
