We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bakery Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy retail bakery.

n

This is a full-time permanent position for a hands‐on leader who enjoys working in a fast‐paced food retail environment while leading and developing a successful team.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the bakery store
n
- Leading, supervising, training and developing team members
n
- Preparing staff rosters and managing labour costs
n
- Monitoring sales performance and implementing strategies to achieve business targets
n
- Ensuring exceptional customer service at all times
n
- Managing inventory, stock ordering and stock control while minimising wastage
n
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety compliance
n
- Ensuring attractive product presentation and merchandising
n
- Managing cash handling, POS operations and daily reconciliation
n
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving customer concerns professionally
n
- Working closely with senior management to improve operational efficiency and business performance
n

Applicants should demonstrate

- Previous management experience within a bakery, café, food retail or hospitality environment
n
- Robust leadership and people management skills
n
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
n
- Experience in staff training and performance management
n
- Experience in inventory management, stock ordering and cost control
n
- Strong customer service and communication skills
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
n
- Good understanding of Australian Food Safety Standards and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
n
- Proficiency in English communication
n
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays and flexible retail hours
n

The following will be highly regarded

n
- Experience using retail POS systems and sales reporting
n
- Ability to analyse sales data and improve store performance
n
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Cantonese, as our store serves a diverse multicultural customer base with a significant number of Chinese-speaking customers
n
