Are you a recent Accounting graduate looking to build a strong foundation in financial accounting?

Our client is a well-established and highly respected Australian business with a national footprint and a strong reputation for quality, performance and long-term growth. They are looking for a Graduate Financial Accountant to join their finance team at their Parramatta head office. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a strong foundation across financial accounting, management reporting, budgeting, tax and business operations, while working closely with experienced finance professionals.

About the role

n

Working as part of a team and reporting through to the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Assist with month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and management reporting
n
- Support financial reporting and subsidiary company accounts
n
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
n
- Support taxation compliance, including BAS, FBT, payroll tax and income tax
n
- Assist with fixed asset and cashflow reporting
n




- Contribute to year-end audit preparation
n
- Assist with financial systems, reporting and process improvement initiatives
n
- Gain exposure to automation, data warehousing and emerging finance technologies
n
- Work collaboratively with the broader Finance team on business improvement projects
n

Ideal candidate

n

n
- Recently completed or currently undertaking a Commerce, Business or Finance degree with a major in Accounting
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Strong excel skills
n
- Energetic and positive attitude
n
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
n
- An interest in finance systems, technology and process improvement
