Expression of Interest Casual Disability Support Worker –(South Eastern Suburbs - Melbourne)

About the Role:
n We are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Support Workers to express their interest in providing high-quality, personalised care for an agency-managed NDIS client located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
n This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely passionate about empowering individuals, providing exceptional personal care, and supporting active community access. You will be joining an agency-managed setup; please note that candidates must be employed as TFN employees (sole traders or independent contractors will not be considered).

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Delivering complex personal care with dignity and respect
n
- Administering specialised care including PEG feeding, catheter care, manual handling and bowel care
n
- Providing medication administration and adhering to strict handling protocols
n
- Utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment safely
n
- Supporting clients with Autism, Mental Health, BOC, ABI, Dementia
n
- Facilitating meaningful community access and outings
n




- Assisting with light domestic duties and household support
n
- Demonstrating empathy, patience, and robust communication skills
n

Selection Criteria & Mandatory Requirements To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

n

n
- Qualification: Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
n
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in support work
n
- Specialized Skills: Proven experience with PEG feeding, catheter care, bowel care, manual handling, medication administration, and managing BOC/Autism/Mental Health
n
- Clearances & Checks:n n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
n
- Current Manual Handling certificate
n
- Current Medication certificate
n
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination and Flu vaccination (or willingness to obtain)
