Business NSW is seeking an enthusiastic Events Assistant to join our Enterprise Events team on a permanent part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-profile business events, awards programs, stakeholder functions, and networking events across NSW.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Events Program Manager, you will provide administrative, operational, and event delivery support to ensure our events and award programs are delivered to the highest standards.
n
Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, sponsors, speakers, and attendees, you'll help coordinate all aspects of event administration, registration management, stakeholder communications, and onsite event execution.
n
Working arrangement:
n
Permanent part-time position working 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday Preferable, with a work from home day on Monday)
n
Standard work hours will be typically worked, however due to event delivery requirements, occasional early starts and late finishes may be required, typically between 6:00am and 8:30pm
n
Advance notice will be provided wherever possible for any variations to start and finish times
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Support the planning and delivery of business events, awards programs, and stakeholder functions.
n
- Manage event registrations, attendee communications, guest lists, and seating allocations.
n
- Maintain accurate event data and CRM records,
including reporting and database updates across awards portal and internal systems.
n
- Coordinate event logistics, suppliers, collateral, name badges, and event materials.
n
- Assist with website content updates and digital awards and event information management.
n
- Support venue setup, event execution, and onsite attendee experience.
n
- Liaise with speakers, sponsors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
n
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and post-event reporting.
n
- Maintain event inventory and ensure resources are event-ready.
n

About You
n
You are a proactive and highly organised coordinator who enjoys bringing events to life. You are comfortable working across multiple priorities, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy providing exceptional customer service.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
- Previous experience in event administration, events coordination, or a similar support role
n
- Robust organisational and multitasking skills
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Outstanding stakeholder and customer service skills
n
- High attention to detail and accuracy
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
n
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
n
