About the Position

n

Based in our Paget Workshop, as a Fitter & Turner, specialising in hydraulics, you will be required to:

n

n
- Perform the disassembly, inspection and assembly of hydraulic cylinders and engineering components.
n
- Measuring with precision tooling, basic failure analysis, perform NDT crack testing of components and hydraulic testing of cylinders.
n
- Read/interpret detailed drawings
n
- Operate hydraulic machinery and testing equipment
n
- Maintain a very high standard of safety and compliance to work instructions
n

About you

n

To be successful as a Fitter & Turner with the Austchrome Team, you will require:

n

n
- Hold the Relevant Trade Qualifications
n
- Experience with overhauling Hydraulic Cylinders. Preferred but not essential
n
- Ability to disassemble, measure, inspect, assemble and test general components.
n




- Can read and understand engineering drawings and work to fine tolerances
n
- Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
- Be committed to safety and the wellbeing of yourself and your teammates
n
- Work well in a team environment and support the learning of apprentices
n
- Can pass a Pre employment medical and Drug and alcohol test
n
