We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our Parks & Recreation team on a casual basis. This role assists with the maintenance and presentation of parks, gardens, sports fields, playgrounds, and public open spaces across the council area.

Position: Casual Parks & Recreation Labourer

Location: Maitland, NSW Local Government Area

Responsibilities

n

n
- Mowing, whipper snipping, edging, and general grounds maintenance
n
- Garden and landscape maintenance
n
- Litter collection and cleaning of public areas
n
- Operating small plant and equipment
n
- Assisting with sports field and playground upkeep
n




- Tree watering and basic horticultural tasks
n
- Following WHS and council safety procedures
n

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Current NSW Driver Licence
n
- White Card
n
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
n
- Good communication and teamwork skills
n
- Reliable and physically fit
n
- Recent RMS Driving History
n
- Recent Police Check
n

n

Desirable Requirements

n

n
- Experience in parks, landscaping, horticulture, or civil works
n
- Chainsaw, brush cutter, or chemical handling tickets
n
- MR licence
n
- First Aid certificate
n

n
