The Role

We are looking for a Workshop Assistant to assist in Dozer and Excavator Track Assembly and Disassembly at our workshop in Yatala, Queensland.

n

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, punctual, and have an eye for detail. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive package with occasional overtime. Workshop hours are 7.00 am till 4.30 pm Monday to Friday.

n

Tasks and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

n

n
- Operate heavy machinery and tooling including angle grinders, impact and hydraulic torque wrenches and presses.
n
- Follow safe work procedures and guidelines at all times
n
- Work cohesively as part of a team to complete projects in a timely manner
n
- Repair and refurbish earthmoving undercarriage components
n
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop
n

Qualifications:

n

n
- A current forklift licence is required for this role
n
- The ability to use an oxy-acetylene cutting torch would be beneficial
n
- Basic welding skills
n




- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Experience in earthmoving undercarriage repairs is highly desirable
n
- A valid driver's license
n
