You'll only need to drop in to replenish supplies or attend face-to-face training sessions at the Launceston office, giving you the flexibility to focus on what matters most: your clients.

About the position:

n

The District Nurses (TDN) is a long-standing Tasmanian not‐for‐profit organisation dedicated to helping people live and age well in their own homes for as long as possible.

n

As a Community Support Worker, you will support our clients by:

n

n
- Providing support with personal care tasks such as bathing, showering, washing, dressing and grooming
n
- Offering companionship and social engagement to reduce isolation and build positive connections
n
- Complete accompanied grocery shopping and other appropriate errands as needed
n
- Perform general household tasks including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
n
- Support clients with washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linen
n
- Assist with meal preparation and light kitchen duties
n

- Basic technology skills (e.g. smartphone or tablet use)

- The physical capacity to perform a hands‐on role
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
n

Essential requirements to be provided:

n

n
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Home & Community)
n
- A valid unrestricted driver licence and a registered, insured, roadworthy vehicle
n
- National Police Check
n
- Working with Vulnerable People Check (employee) with NDIS endorsement
n
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
n
