Job Description

We are seeking a Village Manager to join our team in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs (Woollahra LGA). This is a part-time position offering an opportunity to lead and manage the operations of our retirement village community as it goes through a period of change. As Village Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our residents receive exceptional service whilst maintaining the highest standards of village operations. This role is essential to creating a thriving, well-managed community environment where our residents can enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, addressing concerns and ensuring their satisfaction
n
- Overseeing day-to-day village operations and ensuring all facilities are maintained to a high standard
n
- Managing and supervising village staff, fostering a positive workplace culture
n
- Coordinating social and recreational activities that enhance residents' quality of life and community engagement
n
- Managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and identifying opportunities for cost efficiency
n
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and health and safety standards
n
- Liaising with external service providers and contractors to ensure quality delivery of services
n
- Preparing reports and documentation related to village performance and resident matters
n




- Promoting a culture of exceptional customer service throughout the village
n
- Conducting tours with prospective residents.

What we are looking for

n

- Have experience in sales, real estate, or hospitality, preferably in the retirement living industry
n
- Solid leadership and people management skills
n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and stakeholders
n
- Ability to manage a budget
n
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges
n
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for reporting and administrative tasks
n
- A genuine passion for supporting and serving older adults within a community setting
n
- Preferably, a qualification in management, business administration, or community services
n
