About the Role
n
As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire experience from the moment they arrive.
n
Working closely with the management and service teams, you will be responsible for creating a warm, professional and seamless guest journey while helping the restaurant and bar operations run smoothly.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Warmly welcoming and farewelling guests with genuine hospitality
n
- Managing reservations, table allocations and seating plans
n
- Assisting with waitlists, bookings and guest enquiries
n
- Coordinating guest flow across the restaurant and bar areas
n
- Maintaining a strong knowledge of the venue, menus and current offerings
n
- Communicating effectively with floor staff, managers and other departments
n
- Assisting the team during busy service periods
n
- Supporting the overall presentation and organisation of the host area
n
- Anticipating guest needs and helping create memorable experiences
n
n
About You
n
We are looking for someone who is confident, personable and genuinely passionate about hospitality.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
- Previous experience in a host,
reservations or front-of-house role within a quality restaurant, bar or hospitality venue
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A warm, confident and professional approach
n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
- The ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced workplace
n
- A natural ability to connect with guests and make them feel welcome
n
- A strong understanding of premium service standards
n
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
n
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
n
- Australian working rights
n
n
**Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems will be highly regarded.
