NQ Sheetmetal Pty Ltd is looking to employ a full-time Fabrication Supervisor to join our team.

n

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and hands-on Fabrication Supervisor to oversee our sheet metal fabrication operations and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has strong fabrication experience and leadership skills, and who enjoys working as part of a team while taking ownership of production and quality.

About the Role

n

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

n

n
- Supervising and coordinating day-to-day fabrication activities
n
- Allocating work and supporting fabrication staff to meet production requirements
n
- Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabrication templates and processes
n
- Operating and overseeing the safe use of fabrication equipment including Brake Press, Pan Brake, Guillotine, Slitter and Folder
n
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring finished products meet specifications
n
- Providing guidance, training and support to fabrication team members and apprentices
n
- Identifying and resolving fabrication and production issues
n
- Assisting with planning, scheduling and prioritising jobs
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and protected workshop
n




- Ensuring workplace health and safety procedures are followed at all times
n

About You

n

The successful applicant will have:

n

n
- Previous experience in a sheet metal or light fabrication environment
n
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and workshop practices
n
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and fabrication templates
n
- Experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery
n
- Strong leadership and communication skills
n
- A strong work ethic and be self-motivated
n
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
n
- A commitment to quality, safety and attention to detail
n
- Current Drivers' Licence
n
- Welding experience in MIG and TIG (Aluminium, Stainless Steel and Mild Steel) will be highly regarded
n
- Relevant Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Light Fabrication) or equivalent experience will be highly regarded
n
