About the Company

Our client is a dynamic, multi-site, national group based in the inner-northern suburbs of Melbourne. With a fast-paced and collaborative culture, they are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their close-knit team. The role will be based full-time in the office with some work from home flexibility where required.

The Role

n

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, your key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Daily import of sales data from POS systems into the ERP
n
- Bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
n
- Payroll preparation - collating and reviewing for sign-off (processing handled externally)
n
- Monthly P&L; preparation and assisting with month-end tasks
n
- Reconciliation of function deposits and balance sheet entries
n
- Preparation of monthly BAS
n
- Ad hoc reporting and finance tasks as required
n

The Ideal Candidate

n





We are looking for a diligent and efficient Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced environment. To be successful, you will have

n

n
- 3+ years' experience in a bookkeeping role or equivalent.
n
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits)
n
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Xero
n
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
n
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn current things
n
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work closely with teams in other departments
n
- A minimum Cert IV in Bookkeeping or Diploma in Accounting
n
