About the Role

n

- Keep the depot, trucks, trailers and equipment clean, organised and ready for safe work
n
- Assist with loading and unloading, preloading trailers, and trailer audits under guidance
n
- Progress through structured on-the-job training toward your heavy vehicle licence
n
- Travel with the Leading Hand and experienced drivers to learn preloads and job preparation
n
- Build real depot and driving skills from day one
n

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Current Queensland driver licence, with eligibility to progress to a heavy vehicle licence
n
- Reliable, safety-focused and genuinely keen to build a driving career
n
- Physically fit for active, outdoor depot work
n
- Australian working rights
n

n

Desirable (or willingness to obtain)

n

n
- Forklift and loader licence
n
- White Card and load-restraint training
n

n

- $35.00 flat rate per hour

After 12 Months You Will Have

n

n
- Certificate III in Driving Operations
n
- LF/Forklift licence & experience unloading general freight material
n
- Loader ticket & experience unloading general freight material
n
- Stocktaking and stock control management experience
n
- High-level load restraint experience — roofing iron, steel & mesh, trusses, power poles, general freight
n
- Experience with cranes, and truck & trailer lengths, widths and weights
n
- NHVR compliance exposure — fatigue, mass, maintenance
n
- A real opportunity to move into HR Crane truck driving
