Digital Operator (training will be provided) - 1 year + potential 1 year contract

n

Position Description:

n

We are looking for a number of computer operators with experience in the use of, or exposure to, various digital scanning equipment, and/or a good understanding or aptitude for working with scanning equipment would also qualify you for one of the digital scanning operator positions working on a major client assignment.

n

Your skills will be applied to projects relating to the preservation of significant heritage information which may include documents, books, registers, negatives, and photographs.

n

We have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic individuals with the additional opportunity to learn new skills or upskill in areas relative to the conversion of hard copy records to digital content.

n

Although digital reproduction and image capture experience is advantageous, if you have work experience in a hands-on role in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment, your application will be strongly considered.

Responsibilities:

n

n




- Preparation and scanning of documents and or other material i.e. negatives, photographs etc...
n
- Monitoring image quality as part of an overall quality assurance process.
n
- Meeting and exceeding the required KPI.
n
- Effectively communicating with Team Leader and/or Production Manager.
n

Working hours:

n

n
- Monday to Friday
n
- Day Shift (7am - 3pm)
n
- Afternoon Shift (3pm to 11.15pm)
n

n

The following criteria are needed to be successful in this role:

n

n
- able to commit at a minimum of 90% attendance rate
n
- a keen eye for detail to create and ensure a quality result.
n
- background in various aspects of digital imaging and or photography understanding
n
- knowledge of Capture One or similar capture software (preferred, but not essential)
n
- ability to acquire strong digital file management skills.
n
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- able to work independently without supervision.
n
- a "Can Do" attitude with a qualified approach to resolving issues.
n
- The ability to perform ongoing repetitive tasks for the entirety of the shift.
