Security Architect

Lead security architecture across a complex government technology program, designing secure Microsoft Azure solutions, supporting accreditation and integrating enterprise security capabilities. This hybrid role is primarily onsite in Canberra, with up to two remote days per week potentially negotiable after six months, subject to approval.

Essential Tasks

- Design and govern enterprise security architecture for secure Azure cloud environments.
- Develop security designs, architecture documentation and accreditation artefacts.
- Design security capabilities including identity, firewalls, SIEM, encryption and threat protection.
- Lead security risk,



accreditation and stakeholder engagement across complex delivery teams.

Key Criteria

- Minimum 8 years’ enterprise security architecture experience in complex government or regulated environments.
- Minimum 5 years’ cloud security architecture experience, including 3 years with Microsoft Azure.
- Robust knowledge of ISM, PSPF, IRAP, Zero Trust and security accreditation requirements.
- Experience integrating SOC, SIEM, DevSecOps, CI/CD and automated security controls.
