Our client is a well established hotel group and is looking for a Chef to join their Hotel in regional New South Wales.

The Role

n

We are looking to immediately fill permanent full-time position for chef.

n

The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to: Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes as per our standards

n

Assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes according to established recipes and standards.

n

Execute basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and marinating meats.

n

- Creating menus with flair and innovation having regard to our stock, season and patron
n
- preferences
n
- Ensure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectation
n
- Monitoring stock level and ordering accordingly to ensure cost-effectiveness
n
- Monitoring food preservation and rotation to ensure minimal wastage
n
- Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredients
n
- Aiding in the selection and training of kitchen staff.
n
- Managing kitchen staff
n
- Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen and waiting staff.
n

To be considered for this role you must possess the following attributes:

n

n
- AQF Diploma in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent and at least 2 years of
n
- experience in a similar role, or a minimum of 3 years in a similar role
n
- Superior work ethic
n
- Ability to work under pressure
n
- Be a team player
n
- Enthusiastic "can do" approach
n
- A friendly and approachable personality Is a must
n

ABOUT YOU:

n

n
- Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery
n
- Relevant experience in a premium restaurant/banquet kitchen
n
- Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine
n
- Demonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP
n
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required within a rotating roster
n
- Well presented, punctual and reliable
n
- Ability to keep your section clean and organized with a valuable understanding of
n
- work flow and structure
n
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
n
- A passion for quality food and produce accommodation assistance provided
n

n

salary : $80,000-$85,000 + Superannuation.
