ABOUT THE ROLE

Every Smartways service contributes to a positive patient outcome. To support our operations, we are seeking an Owner Driver based in Melbourne.
n
This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. A typical day will include:
n

- Collecting and delivering medical inventory on time and in full
n
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers (new and existing)
n
- Working closely with other Smartways team members
n
- Proactively managing the return of loaned medical equipment
n
- Preparing freight for transport via third-party carriers within the wider Smartways network
n
n

You will bring:

- Strong knowledge of the Victoria region and ability to determine optimal routes
n
- A reliable work ethic and team-first mindset
n
- Confidence using technology, including phones and basic computer systems
n
- Excellent customer service skills with great attention to detail
n
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills
n
- Availability between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (with ad-hoc weekend work available)
n

WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED?
n
To be successful in this role, you will need:
n
n
- 2T vans (or willingness to acquire one)
n
- A registered Pty Ltd company (or willingness to establish one prior to commencement)
n
- All required insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo, etc.)
n
- A valid and clean driver's licence
n
- Full legal working rights in Australia
n
- Willingness to complete a police check and driver history check
n
- The ability to operate the contracted vehicle yourself (no subcontracting or third-party supply)
n
