BM Tekniker is seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing team in Hoppers Crossing, Victoria. We are looking for a dedicated professional with robust mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills to service and repair a variety of motor vehicles. Salary: $80,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Essential Requirements

- Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
n
- Relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
n
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n

Key Duties and Responsibilities

n

n
- Detect and diagnose faults in engines and mechanical components.
n
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other vehicle components for inspection and repair.
n
- Inspect, test, and assess parts to determine repair or replacement requirements.
n




- Repair and replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
n
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, engine tune-ups, and other preventative maintenance procedures.
n
- Reassemble engines and vehicle components following repairs.
n
- Test and adjust repaired mechanical parts and systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
n
- Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test vehicle systems.
n
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.
n
- Conduct vehicle inspections and provide detailed reports outlining work required to achieve roadworthiness.
