About the role

n

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to join our team at Renard in Ballarat, VIC.

n

This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to help lead our bar operations and deliver exceptional drinks and service that we are known for.

n

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the bar service and staff supervision -- as well as the fun stuff such as creating exciting cocktails and coordinating events.

n

You'll be working alongside Co-Owners / Venue management closely to help guide the business into future years of continued success.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Overseeing daily bar operations and ensuring smooth service while leading from the front.
n
- Training, and supervising bar staff to deliver positive customer experiences and maintain high standards.
n
- Managing bar inventory, stock control, and ordering to minimise waste.
n
- Creating cocktails and updating bar menus seasonally.
n




- Monitoring and managing weekly bar finances and cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy.
n
- Maintaining health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with legislation and company policies.
n
- Ensuring RSA practices and adherence to licensing regulations and local liquor accord standards.
n
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with staff and customers.
n
- Problem-solving and handling customer complaints professionally and promptly.
n
- Collaborating with Co-Owners to deliver outstanding experiences for the Ballarat.

What we're looking for

n

n
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or equivalent leadership role in a hospitality setting
n
- Strong knowledge of beverages, including wines, spirits, and cocktails
n
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
n
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and bar management software
n
- Knowledge of RSA and applicable liquor licensing laws in Victoria
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
n
- Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and public holidays as required
n
- A passion for hospitality and creating a welcoming atmosphere
n
- Problem-solving abilities and a dynamic mindset
n
