About the positions
n
Corangamite Shire Council is looking for multiple Plant Operators to support the construction and maintenance of Council's road network, property, and facilities.
n
We are currently recruiting for:
n
n
- 1 permanent full-time Plant Operator (Maintenance Team) based in Camperdown; and
n
- 6 fixed-term full time Plant Operators based in Camperdown for up to six months to support our peak construction period.
n
n
Main responsibilities
n
n
- Operating and maintaining plant in an efficient and safe manner on construction and maintenance jobs.
n
- Maintaining and monitoring traffic control and safety signing on the job as required.
n
- Undertaking routine machine checks with regard to safe legal operation, fluid levels and lubrication points.
n
- Maintaining accurate time sheets and work program documentation.
n
n
About you
n
n
- On-the-job experience or certificates of competency for various plant such as front-end loader, backhoe, bobcat and/or excavator.
n
- Victorian Driver Licence, Construction Induction Card and recent National Police Check,
or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
n
- Sound working knowledge in the operation, safe use and maintenance of plant and equipment, with the ability to perform manual work in accordance with OH&S; guidelines.
n
- Demonstrated commitment to our core values of teamwork, trust, and respect.
n
- Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver Licence endorsement and Traffic Management ticket, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement, is highly desirable.
n
- Experience in civil construction, maintenance or concreting works is highly desirable.
