Are you an experienced civil infrastructure leader ready to make a real impact across the Capricorn Coast region? We’re seeking a proactive, experienced and capable Coordinator Rural Operations to lead the delivery of a variety of road construction and maintenance programs across the region. The work will draw heavily on your practical hands on experience in similar works and will provide ample chance to showcase both your strategic and operational skills in the role. About the Role:
As the Coordinator Rural Operations, you will:
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of rural construction and maintenance programs across roads, bridges and drainage infrastructure.
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including estimating, procurement, construction oversight and post-construction activities as both the principal and contractor (RMPC)
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team,
fostering a strong safety and performance culture.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, WHS requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor and report on program performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Champion Council’s values and contribute to a safe, inclusive and high‑performing workplace.
What You Will Bring:
- Extensive experience in civil construction and maintenance, ideally within a rural local government or similar environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing operational or field-based teams.
- Strong knowledge of rural infrastructure including roads, bridges and stormwater systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver capital works and maintenance programs from planning through to completion.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance and risk management.
- Construction Industry Induction (White Card) and current C Class Driver Licence.
- TRP between $130,588 to $138,449 per annum (QLGIA (Stream A) Level 7), depending on qualifications, skills and experience (inclusive of 12.5% superannuation);
