Pasta'bah is looking for another experienced Chef to join our team in Murwillumbah.

n

This is a hands‐on role working across our lunch and dinner service, with core hours of 10am–8pm, Wednesday to Saturday.

We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking great food, works well in a busy kitchen and takes pride in consistency, presentation and quality.

Pasta'bah is an Italian deli and eatery built around simple, authentic food and exceptional local produce.

Our food starts at our own Woodland Valley Farm, where our pasture‐raised hens produce the eggs used in our fresh pasta. Our pasta, sauces and other products are then made locally in our production kitchen before making their way to Pasta'bah.

Our menu is Italian at heart — fresh pasta, sauces, focaccia, arancini, antipasti and the kind of food we genuinely love to eat.

The Role

n

You'll be responsible for helping deliver a consistent, high-quality lunch and dinner service,



including:

n

n
- Preparing and cooking dishes to Pasta'bah standards
n
- Running your section during service
n
- Fresh pasta and Italian‐style dishes
n
- Mise en place and daily preparation
n
- Maintaining consistency, portion control and presentation
n
- Working closely with the kitchen and front‐of‐house team
n
- Maintaining excellent food safety, cleanliness and organisation
n
- Assisting with stock control and minimising waste
n

Who We're Looking For

n

We're looking for someone who:

n

n
- Has previous experience as a chef in a busy commercial kitchen
n
- Is confident working through both lunch and dinner service
n
- Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure
n
- Takes pride in producing consistently good food
n
- Understands food safety and kitchen procedures
n
- Works well as part of a team
n
- Has a genuine interest in Italian food and quality produce
n

n

Experience with Italian cuisine or fresh pasta would be highly regarded, but attitude, consistency and kitchen experience are just as important.

Core service roster:

Wednesday to Saturday – 10am to 8pm
