Think Water Northern Rivers is a specialist water solutions business providing the design, supply, installation and maintenance of irrigation, pumping, filtration and water management systems throughout the Northern Rivers and surrounding regions.

We work with a wide range of customers including homeowners, farmers, tradespeople, commercial businesses and large irrigation projects.

The role

n

We are looking for a practical, reliable and energetic person who enjoys being busy and getting the job done.

n

This is a genuinely hands‐on position combining retail customer service with warehouse and delivery duties.

n

You will be working as part of the team, serving customers, finding products, picking orders, receiving deliveries, operating the forklift, loading vehicles and helping keep the warehouse running efficiently.

n

Your day could involve helping a customer find an irrigation fitting in the morning, unloading a supplier delivery by forklift, picking materials for a service technician, booking in a pump repair and then delivering materials to a job site.

What you'll be doing

n

n




- Serve customers at our retail counter and assist with product enquiries
n
- Answer customer enquiries in person and over the telephone
n
- Learn our irrigation, pump, pipe, fittings and water products
n
- Pick and pack orders for retail customers, service technicians and project jobs
n
- Receive and check incoming stock
n
- Unload and load trucks and vehicles using a forklift
n
- Put stock away and maintain an organised warehouse
n
- Prepare goods for deliveries and customer collection
n
- Assist with stocktakes and stock control
n
- Book customer pumps and equipment in for repair
n
- Assist with warranty and stock returns
n
- Help maintain retail displays and stock presentation
n
- Deliver goods to customers and job sites when required
n
- Keep warehouse, storage and work areas clean and safe
n
- Work with the retail, service and project teams to make sure they have the materials they need
n

About you

n

We are looking for someone who is comfortable doing both customer‐facing and physical work.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous retail, trade counter, warehouse or stores experience
n
- Forklift licence and experience operating a forklift
n
- Current driver's licence
n




- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- Confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and other team members
n
- Good attention to detail
n
- Ability to pick and handle stock accurately
n
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
n
- Good time‐management skills and the ability to change priorities during a busy day
n
- Physical fitness to safely lift and move stock
n
- A practical attitude and willingness to learn
n
- Comfortable using computer‐based systems, including ERP, inventory and point‐of‐sale systems
n
- Able to use Microsoft Teams and other workplace communication tools
n
- Willing and able to learn new software and systems
n

n

Experience with irrigation, pumps, plumbing, rural supplies, hardware or a similar trade‐based industry would be highly regarded, but the right attitude and willingness to learn are important to us.

n

An MR truck licence would be highly regarded, or a willingness to obtain one.
