About the Position:

- 17.5% Shift loading in accordance with Peter Cochrane Management EA 2018
n
- 13.5% Superannuation

Cochrane's Transport is seeking reliable and motivated Freight Handlers to join our Afternoon Shift team at our Gillman Depot on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a rapid-paced transport and logistics environment. As a valued member of our operations team, you'll play a key role in ensuring freight is safely and efficiently sorted, loaded, and unloaded to keep our network moving.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and trailers
n




- Sorting and staging freight for dispatch
n
- Operating pallet jacks and forklifts (desirable)
n
- Ensuring freight is handled safely and efficiently
n
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
n
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
n

n

About You:

n

n
- Strong work ethic and reliability
n
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items
n
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
n
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
n
- Previous experience in freight handling or warehousing (advantageous)
n
