Lakeside Hotel is seeking a Functions/Events/Restaurant Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Bendigo, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service across our functions, events, and restaurant operations. As a key member of our team, you will oversee day-to-day activities, maintain service standards, and create memorable experiences for our guests. This role requires a hands-on approach with a solid focus on team leadership, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate functions, events, and restaurant service operations to ensure all guests receive exceptional experiences
n
- Manage rostering, scheduling, and staff allocation across functions, events, and restaurant departments
n
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to maintain high standards of hospitality and service quality
n
- Liaise with clients, event coordinators, and internal teams to coordinate special events and functions
n
- Monitor stock levels, supplies, and equipment maintenance within assigned areas
n
- Handle guest queries and complaints professionally, ensuring swift resolution and customer satisfaction
n
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, revenue, and operational metrics
n
- Implement and monitor service standards and quality controls
n




- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and also other departments within the Hotel, such as Kitchen, Front Office & Housekeeping
n

What we're looking for

- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, or events.
n
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, food and beverage service, and event coordination
n
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
n
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive and can-do attitude
n
- Relevant RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification
n
