Our client, Jatec Petroleum Pty Ltd t/a Shell Grenfell is looking for a skilled Retail Manager to join their team.

n

Job Responsibilities

n

n
- Plan, organise and oversee the daily operations of the fuel station, convenience store and Friesta Café to ensure effective and profitable business performance.
n
- Supervise, train and support retail and café staff, including preparing rosters, allocating duties and monitoring performance.
n
- Deliver excellent customer service by handling customer enquiries, resolving complaints and maintaining a high standard of service.
n
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate purchasing and maintain adequate stock of fuel, retail merchandise, beverages, groceries and café supplies.
n
- Oversee café and takeaway operations, ensuring food quality, hygiene and compliance with food safety regulations.
n
- Monitor daily sales, cash handling, banking procedures and financial reports to achieve business objectives.
n
- Develop and implement promotional activities and sales strategies to increase revenue and enhance customer engagement.
n
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of fuel,



retail products and food supplies.
n
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, consumer legislation and company policies.
n
- Analyse sales performance and operational reports, identify improvement opportunities and implement strategies to maximise profitability.
n
- Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and safety of the service station, convenience store and café.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and the local community to support business growth.

Eligibility Criteria

n

n
- Minimum Certificate IV qualification or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
n
- At least one year of recent post-qualification experience working as a Retail Manager.
n
- Ability to lead, motivate and supervise a team.
n
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
n
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
n
- Ability to drive sales, achieve targets, and implement sales strategies.
n
- Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with staff, customers, suppliers, and management.
n
- Strong visual merchandising skills.
n
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
n
- Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities, and maintain a well-organised retail environment.
