About the role

n

We are seeking an experienced Welder All Rounder to join our growing team at our Carrum Downs facility. This is a full-time position based in Carrum Downs VIC 3201. As a Welder All Rounder, you will be a key member of our production team, responsible for performing a wide range of welding tasks on fencing products and metal structures. You will work in a fast-paced workshop environment, utilising various welding techniques and equipment to produce high-quality work that meets our exacting standards and exceeds client expectations. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and develop your expertise across multiple welding disciplines.

Key responsibilities

n

- Perform welding tasks using MIG, and stick welding techniques on a variety of metal materials and fencing components
n
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed to required standards and tolerances
n
- Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components
n
- Conduct quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet structural and aesthetic requirements
n
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including MIG welders, TIG welders, and associated machinery
n




- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production deadlines and project schedules
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols
n
- Identify and report equipment maintenance issues or defects promptly
n
- Assist with the development of welding procedures and techniques to improve efficiency and quality
n

What we're looking for

- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
n
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality welds
n
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment, preferably in the fencing or structural steel industry
n
- Competency with welding equipment operation and maintenance
n
- Physical fitness and ability to work in a standing position for extended periods
n
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
