Job Description

Our client, an established and highly successful import and distribution business is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its finance team and support accurate reporting, commercial decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.

The role:

- Manage financial data integrity, accounting compliance and reconciliations.
n
- Support month-end processing, journals and management reporting.
n
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.
n
- Provide finance support to operational and commercial teams.
n
- Assist with audit, statutory reporting and compliance requirements.
n
- Contribute to process improvement, automation and finance projects.
n

About you:

n

n




- At least three years' experience in an Assistant Accountant either in commercial or a public practice setting.
n
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP or accounting systems.
n
- High attention to detail, strong integrity and a genuine interest in commercial performance.
n
- Takes ownership, works collaboratively and embraces continuous learning.
n
- Reliable, commercially curious and comfortable managing competing priorities.
n

Working in a team of five finance operatives this is a newly created role to support the CFO with financial reporting and assisting with improvement and streamlining of internal processes.
