Dealers Assistant - Equity Markets - Mandarin Speaking (12-month contract)
n
Our client is a leading global wealth management firm seeking an experienced equity markets focussed Dealers Assistant with nativeMandarin language skillsinSydneyon an initial12-month contract.
n
A key function of the role is the ability to deal confidently with Private Client AdvisorsandtheirHNW/ UHNW clients inahighvolume,timecriticalenvironment.
n
Tobesuccessfulinthisrole you will need to demonstrate knowledge of the financial advice process, financial markets and product andindustry trends.
n
Youwillneedtohaveahigh attention to detail and should be able to prioritise work accordingly and work well under pressure.
n
Candidates for this role will have previous experience in a similar Client Service/ Dealers Assistant/ Advisers Assistant role and ideally have their RG146 qualification.
n
This is a 12-month contract role with the purpose to specifically deal with Chinese clients therefore the successful candidate will need to be fluent in English & Mandarin.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Facilitation of all administrative client queries
n
- Client on-boarding, including preparation of account documentation, creation of client record in their systems.
n
- Arrange and assist with maintenance of client account and records, in line with current AML/CTF, KYC Regulations
n
- IPO and corporate action allocation management
n
- Preparation of client valuations, asset allocations and reporting as required
n
- Assist in client asset transfers, including cash, both domestically and internationally
n
- Process and monitor stock settlements, including follow up with clients regarding outstanding funds.
n
- Prioritise competing adviser requests in a fast-paced environment
n
- Assist with logistics and planning for The Asia Practice's client events
n
- Provide ad hoc translation for marketing purposes
n
- Establish and maintain relationships with other internal stakeholders and departments
n
- Participate in department cross-training as required
n
- Participate in process development initiatives to increase efficiencies
n
- Proactively notify client/s and FA/s of any issues recommending a solution and timeframe
n
- Comply with the ethical standards contained within the Company Code of Conduct.
n
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements.
n
- Understand US and UK tax forms like W8BEN and CRS (preferable)
n
- Understand Opt In, FDS and Client Consent (ie FOFA) forms (preferable)
n
n
Key Skills/Knowledge:

- Strong literacy and numeracy ability

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
n
- Strong organisational skills
n
- A fundamental knowledge of financial advice process, markets, and industry

- Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin

- Display a high level of resilience and solid ability to prioritise tasks

Qualifications:
n
n
- Desirable tertiary qualification in Finance, Business or Economics.
n
- RG146 – if not held already a requirement to study towards
n
- Experience within wealth management, stockbroking or financial planning
n
- Understanding of Broking Platforms (Domestic and International)
n
- Understanding of Portfolio management platforms (e.g. Praemium) will be added advantage.
n
- Client Service Manager experience not mandatory but highly regarded
n
n
This role will be hired on an initial 12 Month contract and will be paid on a highly, competitive rate dependingon experience.
