The Procurement Support Officer position supports the ongoing delivery of procurement outcomes across IP Australia and is suited to candidates who are ready to step into a role with transparent accountability, continuity of work, and the ability to learn and make a meaningful impact from the outset.

This position is responsible for providing professional and policy advice in relation to procurement and contract management and supporting the establishment of best practice procurement policies and processes.

In this role as Procurement Officer, responsibilities include:
n
n
- manage procurement activities in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and agency policiesn n
- plan and coordinate procurement processes, including Request for Quotes (RFQs), tenders, market engagement and evaluations
n
- conduct procurement and contract management activities using Commonwealth procurement arrangements, including Whole of Government Panels
n
- prepare procurement recommendations and provide procurement and contract management advice
n
- establish, administer and support contract managers throughout the contract lifecycle, including contract variations
n
- promote Indigenous procurement outcomes in line with the Indigenous Procurement Policy
n
- maintain procurement records and reporting requirements, including AusTender reporting
n
- monitor procurement and contract activities to ensure compliance, governance and value for money outcomes
n
- undertake procurement administration, including quality assurance, inbox management, and coordination of meetings and forums
n
- deliver procurement guidance, training materials and stakeholder support
n
- identify and support implementation of improvements to procurement processes, systems and performance
n
