You crave a career that pushes you, where you'll meet challenges head on and you're guaranteed to grow.
You've been looking for an opportunity to influence policies, initiatives, and projects that can improve the lives of millions of people.
In this role, you'll:
Be part of Transport for NSW's Legal & Governance branch, (which reports to the Transport Secretary), working collaboratively across the organisation, partnering to provide critical legal advice and support for sensitive and complex legal matters to support the operations of Transport for NSW and other agencies in the transport portfolio.
This lawyer position is part of the specialist Projects, Development and Planning team within Transport for NSW's Legal & Governance unit which has responsibility for supporting Roads, Rail and Maritime projects.
Reporting to the Director, Legal, you will support other front-end construction and major projects lawyers working across all Transport modes, forging close relationships with key internal clients and providing expert, clear, comprehensive legal services.
Taking a key role within project teams, you will identify legal risks, provide solution-oriented legal advice and drafting support, and contribute as a team member to coordinate and influence outcomes.
This is a permanent full-time position governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance at our Elizabeth Street office in Sydney CBD and approved remote working.

You will hold tertiary qualifications in law and hold a practising certificate in NSW.
